Today I want to talk about what your fatigue is really trying to tell you. So many women come to me and they are tired. And that really is a result of overriding the way that our feminine bodies, our natural rhythm and flow is designed, but on a deeper level, it comes from overriding your sacred yes, your sacred no. It also comes from a disconnect from many many times women's needs, wants, and desires. How are we going to be able to stabilize our own energy when we're gridlocked into the external world around us? And for many women, you know, that comes from codependent patterns, it comes from caretaking, it comes from a deep, a deeper need, which is ultimately where codependent patterns stem from, but a deeper need for approval, love, acceptance, safety. And we've been walking around with those wounds for you know several decades. So when midlife comes and our bodies are asking to be honored through a sacred transition from oftentimes perimenopause to menopause, where there's a lot of shifting changes happening at the level of the body, emotionally, spiritually, we're no longer able to operate like that. And part of this is due to a very old paradigm of being in our leadership as women, where we're leaning a little bit more into a masculine framework, the framework that has been designed in a patriarchal society for us to operate in. But in midlife, there's an all there's ultimately an opportunity to recalibrate into a new state of being. One that honors the truth of who you are, one that honors your boundaries, your needs, your wants, your desires as a woman, and your natural feminine design. And that becomes important because overriding your natural feminine design, your actual cyclical, rhythmic nature, it needs to be honored in order to create sustainable energy. And in order to start to honor all of these deeper pieces of who you are in your midlife era, you have to be able to cultivate and claim space for this new way of being. And ultimately, it's a powerful act because we are starting to stabilize our core in a new space of presence. Now, claiming space for ourselves is different than a yoga practice. It's different than meditation. It is an actual listening to the deeper communication of our essence, right? Of our essence, of the voice of our womb. It's actually starting to connect to, listen to, and honor the truth of who we are or the truth of who you are as a midlife woman. And for so many women, that is an unfamiliar practice. It's been conditioned out of us, and we've been told to operate in a much more rigid framework to exist in society in order to experience, you know, acceptance, approval, love, and safety. A lot of this stems from childhood, a lot of it can stem from our first bleed as women. I often refer to this, you know, um, when I'm teaching and I'm talking about how our first bleed as young women, oftentimes it's not honored, it's not honored through ceremony, through ritual, or just through the loving presence of our mother. And this is ultimately where you know a part of the mother wound starts to originate, which is a deep piece of what we're healing, what you're healing through the midlife pivot, through the midlife rebirth. There's this huge opportunity here to stop and be like, I'm no longer willing to operate from this energetic state. I'm no willing, I'm not no longer willing to put my needs after everyone else. There's this huge call, especially with the shift in estrogen, which is the caretaking hormone, right? Where we're we're kind of built to like connect and nurture and and attune to the needs of others around us. When estrogen starts to drop, there's an actual chemical hormonal shift in our body. So there is an opportunity to learn this new way of being that actually starts to honor us, where we can attune to ourselves as midlife women. And so when I'm teaching, one of the pieces that I often refer to is the first bleed, because there is such a beautiful art to being able to listen to what our bodies need, to be able to tune in, to be able to honor our our our cycle, right? Our bleed teaches us about living in a cyclical rhythm. Fortunately, we're seeing and hearing a lot more about that. When I first came into the online space, you know, 15 years ago, there was not a lot of people talking about this. It was kind of like revolutionary to be really talking about what it means to honor our cycles, to build businesses and lives that honor our cycles, which to me is we need this if we're to build a new way of being and living on the planet. Like we need it desperately, and it starts with each one of us. So think about your first bleed. Was it honored? Was there shame around it? Right? Were you told to take a Tylenol and kind of just get back out there? Go play your sports, go, you know, to your part-time job or go to school, right? And so ultimately in that space, we're not really given the space to stop, to listen, to stop, connect, listen, and honor. Because if we did, it would be, you know, what do you need? Right? How are you feeling right now? This is your downtime. This is your body wanting to regroup. This is your body wanting to cleanse and release. How can we support your body? What do you need? Do you need a healing, a heating pad?
unknown:Right?
SPEAKER_00:Do you need a bubble bath? Do you need warm foods? Do you need teas? Do you need hydration?
unknown:Right?
SPEAKER_00:Which ultimately you need a lot of hydration. Right? We want to support the body to release, right? To release and to honor that space of our cycle. But we were not necessarily taught that. And so, as women, we're very often conditioned to override our deeper needs. We're not really taught to attune to the deeper needs of our body or our cyclical nature. You know, the new moon, the bleed time, is also a time of coming home to ourselves. It's a time where we can slow down, where we can rest, where we can listen to our bodies, and where we can regroup our energy. Right? We can reflect on what did the last cycle teach me? What am I leaving behind? What am I letting go? What do I want now? What do I need? Who am I stepping into in this next cycle? And what energy do I want to bring forward with me?
unknown:Right?
SPEAKER_00:And we start to we start to recalibrate in that slowness, in that pause. And so not many of us were taught to honor our bodies and our wisdom, our essence, our womb in this powerful way. And so we go years overriding it, not to mention that you know, the role of mother carries its own old paradigm conditioning around giving, doing, nurturing, right? You know, the it's that sense of like, well, the more exhausted you show up, the better the mother you might be. And when in fact, right, we're going through a huge paradigm shift around, you know, the feminine and and all of these aspects of life and and society and and how the feminine emergence is impacting that. You know, I think a lot of people think, oh, feminine power and and um, you know, the womb and your presence in the world, and that's like a piece of it, and it's a powerful piece of it, but the feminine emergence um and that awakening of the divine feminine has so many layers of potential in how she's meant to impact and create ripples of change through the world right now. The most important thing that we can do, though, in this paradigm shift to support that awakening is coming home to ourselves. And in midlife, we're given the perfect opportunity to shift out of that old paradigm of not listening, of not honoring, of giving, of doing, of caretaking beyond our capacity. So we have to come home and listen. We have to claim sacred space, time that is devoted to listening and honoring, so that we can understand what we need and start to prioritize it, so that we can listen to what our bodies are saying and prioritize it, so that we can understand what our desires and our vision is and prioritize it, so that we can understand how we want to move through the world and prioritize it. Right? We can we can fully acknowledge, well, this feels frustrating to me, this feels heavy, this feels hard, this makes me feel tired, tired of saying yes to this when really I want to say no. There's a beautiful alchemical space of transition that is available through midlife, and that's my invitation to you. Are you claiming it? Are you making space for it? Are you digging into this? Are you are you grabbing a hold of it and utilizing it for the potential transformation that exists? Because on the other side of it is a recalibrated self, one who's in tune with her body, one who's in tune with her needs, her desires, her wants. And when we do this, we start to drop into our creational power, we start to honor our bodies, our wombs, our essence. We start to take up space with the truth of who we are, and we begin to lead our lives differently. We begin to lead our lives differently. And again, that is my invitation for you, right? This is the era of the matriarch recalibrated to your full power and potential. But we have to stop, we have to listen, you have to connect, and you have to honor. And that again is my invitation to you. Right? And as we do, we get to flow from a new recalibrated space of prosperity, from fullness, from power. We get to show up in our leadership for our communities, our families, for our personal vision much more powerfully. But we have to untangle ourselves from an old way of being. We have to listen to why the fatigue is there and be willing to do it differently. My invitation to you is to, you know, to get started on this journey. Head on over to uh my new Facebook group.
